Scoil Bhríde Cailíní was very fortunate to be part of the PAHLEPS project. PAHLEPS stands for Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles in European Primary Schools and is a project funded by the European Union to support the exchange of good practice in PE, physical activity, school sport and healthy lifestyles. Ms. McKeon, Mr. Maguire, Ms. Meenagh and Mr. Devlin took part from our school along with schools in Portugal, Luxembourg and Spain. Each visit was a great opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other in the true spirit of European co-operation. The teachers from the other countries came to our school in February 2023 and were so impressed by the atmosphere in the school, the high levels of physical activity and the general warmth and kindness of our girls. The project will develop a final report based on the work over the two years and we will share this with you in the due course. In the meantime, please take a look at these links for more information about the project and the HEPAS model which formed a large part of the project. It was such a great thing to be a part of and as usual the girls of SBC did themselves, their families and their communities proud.
